AirPods were released alongside the iPhone 7 and 7+, partly because of the fact that they had no headphone jack. They were not the first wireless earphones that Apple has released, though. Full review and thoughts below.
Battery: The batteries in the AirPods are amazing. They have around 5 hours, and they are charged with their case, which is charged by a lightning cable. With a fully charged case and fully charged AirPods, you can get around 24 hours of battery life.
Sound: When I first got the AirPods, they sounded amazing. They were very loud, and had great bass. 4 months later, I guess I have just gotten a lot of wax into them, and maybe some water (DO NOT DO), but they still provide a good sound quality.
Functionality: This is the cool part. You can customize what a double tap on the each AirPods does. Personally, my double tap on my left AirPod is Siri, and my right is Play/pause. This works because of the infrared sensor built into the AirPods, and it also helps know when they are in your ears, when you take one out, it pauses the music.
Price: $159
Overall, the AirPods are great. They have a great sound, and awesome battery life. Just make sure that you clean your ears once in a while.
